It is possible to rely on firefighters to save lives in an emergency, whether they be human or animal. They are truly heroes.
A dog was recently rescued from a burning apartment building by Utah firefighters, who also performed CPR on him in a momentous occasion.
In Midvale, Utah, an apartment complex caught fire in the early hours of September 16. Unified Fire Authority firefighters raced to the site.
According to FOX 13, after extinguishing the fire, authorities found an unconscious dog inside a kennel inside the house. After sprinting inside, they managed to get the dog outdoors.
The firefighters saved the dog’s life in an amazing moment by doing CPR, and amazingly, they were able to revive him shortly after.
United Fire posted on Instagram, “Not all heroes carry leashes; sometimes they wear capes.” Times like these serve as a constant reminder of how fortunate we are to be able to defend both our community and our pet family members. Thankful for the opportunity to save both human and animal lives.
Many fire departments receive training on how to give CPR to animals, and have special equipment to provide them with oxygen. This extra preparation is life-saving when animals become trapped in burning buildings and suffer smoke inhalation.
Thanking the firefighters for their actions, several others commented on the page. “I appreciate you all saving this adorable puppy’s life. 👏👏 “You guys are amazing,” someone commented.
“Excellent work, heroes!” says a second comment. Another person remarked, “We are thankful to have been blessed with firefighters.”
FOX 13 reports that the fire looks to have started as a kitchen fire. The estimated damage to the apartment complex is $100,000, and while people have had to move, fortunately, no other casualties have been reported.
God be praised for firefighters, who never fail to come to the rescue. We’re overjoyed that CPR helped this puppy escape the fire and come to life!
