Frank Fritz of AMERICAN Pickers passed away at the age of sixty after suffering a devastating stroke in 2022. Frank’s longtime co-star and friend Mike Wolfe shared the heartbreaking news over Instagram on Tuesday, October 1.
“It is with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night,” Mike, 60, wrote at the beginning of the message.
“I’ve known Frank for more than half of my life, and the dreamer who was as sympathetic and hilarious as he was on TV has always been the same person I have seen. Frank has the same ability to touch people’s hearts both on and off screen by being authentic.
Who would have imagined that millions of people interested in our exploits would see us sharing the cockpit of a white cargo van?
“Before the show we would take off together to places we never knew existed with no destination in mind and just the shared passion to discover something interesting and historic.”
“We’ve been on countless trips and shared so many miles, and I feel blessed that I was there by his side when he took one last journey home,” Mike said as he concluded the tribute. I love you buddy and will miss you so much I know you’re in a better place.”
Danielle Colby, Frank’s co-star, paid tribute with a series of pictures.
In her letter, she said, “Frank, I will miss your ability to make people laugh, your passion for tattoo talk, and your amazing collections, but what I will regret most are those occasional brief moments of vulnerability.
“Frank, we connected over your affection for your mother and your pet. For all of these reasons and so many more, you will be missed.
